2026 Board of Supervisors Election Procedures
Legal Notice
The Ohio Soil and Water Conservation Commission will cause an election of Supervisors of Lucas Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) to be held in accordance with Chapter 940 of the Ohio Revised Code.
Two Supervisors will be elected to a three‐year term commencing January 1, 2027 and ending December 31, 2029.

Voter Eligibility

Eligible voters include all owners and occupiers of land at least 18 years of age or older within Lucas County. This includes legal residents of Lucas County, non-resident land-owners, non-resident land-occupiers, and representatives of firms, corporations, limited liability companies, or trusts located within Lucas County. All eligible voters must certify their status as an eligible voter by signature on the ballot application.
Voters will register by placing their name, address, and additional information as deemed appropriate by the Ohio Soil and Water Conservation Commission on the prescribed registration forms. A picture I.D. or license is no longer required. For information regarding non-resident landowners, non-resident land-occupier, etc., visit the ODA website. |
Election Procedures
Beginning October 7, 2026, eligible voters can either vote in-person or absentee:
Once the request has been received, the election designee of the Lucas SWCD will mail the voter verification form, election ballot and return envelope to the person making the absentee request within 3 business days. The sealed ballot and signed voter verification form must be returned to the Lucas SWCD office by 12:00 PM on November 5, 2026. Multiple absentee ballot requests will only be accepted when those individuals live within the same household.
Your absentee ballot AND completed voter verification form MUST be sealed in the return envelope provided or the ballot may be voided.
- To vote in-person, please visit the Lucas SWCD office during normal business hours between October 7th and 12:00 PM on November 5th, or at our Annual Meeting from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at Lott Industries, inside the conference room, in Toledo.
- To request an absentee ballot, choose one of the following methods:
- Call the Lucas SWCD office at (419) 893-1966 (leave a message if no one answers)

- Mail a request via the postal service to 3350 Hill Ave., Suite K, Toledo OH 43607
