Agricultural Best Management Practices

As one of Ohio's 88 Soil and Water Conservation Districts, it is our responsibility to share information on best management practices (BMPs) with the community. We encourage farmers and land developers to employ BMPs to ensure the conservation of our soil and the protection of our water.

Below you will find pictures of many different BMPs (credit: OSU Extension).Click on any picture and you will be redirected to more information about that specific BMP on the Ohio State University Extension Ag BMPs website.

The LSWCD office has programs available for farmers within specific watersheds in Lucas County who want to begin using BMPs on their property. Click here to learn more or contact our office if interested!
