Blue Creek Conservation Area Field Trips
Located near Whitehouse, Ohio, the Blue Creek Conservation Area (BCCA) is a 500+ acre working farm and conservation/land lab area. Students will explore environmental and agricultural processes occurring in the soils, gardens, and fields; savannahs, wetlands, and prairies; and a live animal presentation from Nature’s Nursery Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. School and community groups may schedule field trips during April -October (or weather permitting). Field trips typically last from 10:00AM—1:00PM but may be adjusted to your needs and topics can be customized. BCCA is open to scheduled groups only. BCCA is a partnership of Metroparks Toledo, Lucas Soil & Water Conservation District, & Nature’s Nursery. A day’s program is only $3.00 per students (funds go to Nature’s Nursery. Teachers and parents are free! Some groups may be eligible for assistance with field trip transportation costs. |
